Community Guidelines
Last updated: 20 July 2026
Nirmaan Community is a professional space where builders share work, learn in the open, and grow their careers. These Guidelines are the rules everyone agrees to by using the community. They exist to keep it useful, safe, and respectful — and they sit alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Nirmaan Community is an intermediary that hosts content created by its members. We are not the author of member posts, comments, or messages, but we act promptly on content that breaks these rules or the law.
What is not allowed
Do not post, share, or transmit any of the following. The most severe categories are detected automatically and blocked or held for human review; all of them may be acted on when reported.
Child sexual abuse & sexualisation of minors
Any content that sexualises, endangers, or exploits a minor. Zero tolerance — it is blocked on sight, the account is removed, and the matter is reported to the authorities as required by law.
Threats, violence & incitement
Threats of harm, incitement to violence, or content that promotes or glorifies violence against a person or group.
Harassment, abuse & hate
Targeted harassment, bullying, slurs, or content that demeans a person or group on the basis of religion, caste, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or ethnicity.
Doxxing & invasion of privacy
Publishing another person's private information — home address, phone number, identity documents, or private images — without consent.
Exposure of personal data
Sharing sensitive personal data of others (financial, health, government-ID, or contact data) without a lawful basis or consent.
Self-harm & crisis content
Content that encourages self-harm or suicide. People in distress are met with crisis resources and human care, not penalties — but content that promotes self-harm is removed.
Spam, scams & deceptive promotion
Repetitive or unsolicited promotion, phishing, financial scams, pyramid or "guaranteed placement/returns" schemes, and coordinated inauthentic activity.
Impersonation & false identity
Impersonating another person, organisation, or Nirmaan itself, or misrepresenting your affiliation, credentials, or verified work.
Unlawful & infringing content
Content that is defamatory, obscene, infringes another’s intellectual property, or otherwise violates any law in force in India — including content that threatens the sovereignty, integrity, security, or public order of India.
Harmful misinformation
Content that is patently false or misleading and shared to cause harm, mislead, or defraud — including impersonated or manipulated media presented as genuine.
How we enforce
Enforcement is proportionate and escalates with severity and repetition. It applies to your community access only — your Nirmaan learning account, enrolments, and earned proof (certificates and verified work) are never affected. Automated systems can hold or remove content; suspensions and bans are issued by a human and can be appealed.
- 1Warning — A notice that content crossed the line, with the reason and a link to appeal.
- 2Content removal — The specific post, comment, or message is taken down. Repeated removals escalate.
- 3Feature restriction — Temporary limits on posting, commenting, or messaging while the issue is reviewed.
- 4Suspension — Community access is paused for a defined period. Human-issued and appealable.
- 5Ban — Community access is removed. Reserved for the most serious or repeated violations; human-issued and appealable.
Reporting content
Every post, comment, and message can be reported using its “Report” action. Reports go to our moderation team. Content that is reported as unlawful or that our systems flag as high-severity is held from public view while it is reviewed.
Appeals
If your content was removed or your access was restricted and you believe it was a mistake, you can appeal from the notice you receive. A human reviews every appeal. If an appeal is upheld, the action is reversed.
Grievances
If you are not satisfied with how content or a complaint was handled, you can escalate to our Grievance Officer. We acknowledge every grievance within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days, in line with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. See the Grievance Redressal page, or write to Mrs. Riddhi Darshil Bhatt at legal@vasudhaiva.ai.
